So you just found out that we’re in Key West, the southernmost point in the USA. If it isn’t warm and sunny here, it’s isn’t anywhere! So far the weather’s been good. Just today, on my birthday, it’s raining a bit but I think it will pass. It must!
To update you on our travel and hotel scamming experiences (j/k) here’s the latest. I won’t tell you the whole story just now but we got 3 out of 5 nights for free while we were staying in Clearwater Beach! And not even by scamming lol! After Clearwater we drove off to Naples. Unfortunately we didn’t find any nice shells at Sanibel Island…
While in Naples we went to the Edison and Ford homes in Ft. Myers, did some shopping at the Edison Mall, went to a bar Thursday night and left Friday morning (instead of Saturday because or a/c was broken and we didn’t want to stay any longer).
We then drove on to Key West. On our way there we did a tour through an Indian village, saw a real live alligator wrestling show and took a trip on an airboat of course 
The airboat also made a 10 minute stop at an Indian village where we saw some huge (!!!) grasshoppers 
It felt good to be out in the nature. The day after didn’t feel that good however. Despite of spraying mosquito repellant all over our bodies the mosquitos found us and we’re all tan with huge red bumps now! Got my After Bite pen to help me from scratching…
We didn’t make reservations for staying in Key West. Being low season and all we thought every hotel would have vacancies… but noooooooooo! Not this time. The whole weekend was sold out. We must have tried like every hotel on the island! Finally we found one far, faaaaaaaar from Duval Street where all the action is. We booked the room for 2 nights. It didn’t even have a king bed but two doubles. So one night we slept apart and the other (last night) we slept in one of the two together… I can tell you now that I will never ever do that again!! It was really cosy though Oh and the hotel sucked lol. But as you’ve read in my post below tonight we’re staying at a Hilton jacuzzi suite and it’s right off Duval street so we can get drunk tonight and crawl to the room when we feel like it
