Mustang Sally

Still tired from yesterday. My first real photoshoot since Berlicum. We’d been planning this shoot for a couple of weeks. It was actually my idea which came to mind when Moniek and I were discussing doing a shoot together. We were talking about it online when Wouter overheard us and saw his chance He offered to be the photographer and we accepted At first Silly would do our makeup/hair but she couldn’t make it. We found another mua but she cancelled 2 days before the shoot. Thank god we found yet another mua lastminute at DH: Nio Liem. She was kind enough to drive all the way from Limburg to Scheveningen to do our hair and makeup. Styling was taken care of by Mathilda Karels (no website yet), a young and upcoming stylist. In the days prior to the shoot a lot of e-mails were sent. Mathilda e-mailed about the real Stetson cowboy hats she’d fixed, 5 pairs of cowboy boots and lots of clothes. This of course was getting us extremely excited about the shoot. The weather forecasts looked great too. Although the day started out with rain, the afternoon was supposed to be only partly cloudy.

We’d agreed to meet at our place at 9.30AM. The only one who made it on time was Moniek. At about 10.15 Wouter arrived. He picked up Mathilda at the trainstation at 11 and at 11.15 Nio arrived (she was late due to extreme traffic situations). We could finally get started. Nio started with my makeup while Mathilda, Moniek and Wouter were chitchatting. When my makeup was done, it was Moniek’s turn. Mathilda, Wouter and I started on selecting the outfits and writing everything down. Moniek and I also b(r)ought some stuff which turned out to be quite usefull. We selected 5 outfits each and put everything in bags. I made sandwiches for lunch and packed the rest of the food and drinks in our old school picnic basket, later to be used for the shoot.

We left Scheveningen at 3PM.. little bit later than planned but at least the weather was great. Eelco’s ‘65 Mustang makes an excellent model.. very photogenic.

We drove around the country, changed clothes, had our makeup touched up, ate sandwiches and made pics until 10PM. We ordered some junkfood back at our place and I kicked everyone out around 11 lol. Time for bed!

The first previews of the shoot are amazing. There’s this one pic which I will have framed for our home.
